﴿فَلَمَّا وَضَعَتۡهَا قَالَتۡ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَضَعۡتُهَآ أُنثَىٰ وَٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا وَضَعَتۡ وَلَيۡسَ ٱلذَّكَرُ كَٱلۡأُنثَىٰۖ وَإِنِّي سَمَّيۡتُهَا مَرۡيَمَ وَإِنِّيٓ أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ ﴾
[آل عِمران: 36]
﴿فلما وضعتها قالت رب إني وضعتها أنثى والله أعلم بما وضعت وليس﴾ [آل عِمران: 36]
Abdel Haleem but when she gave birth, she said, ‘My Lord! I have given birth to a girl’- God knew best what she had given birth to: the male is not like the female- ‘ I name her Mary and I commend her and her offspring to Your protection from the rejected Satan.’ |
Abdul Hye When she delivered her (Mary), she said: “My Lord! I have delivered a female (instead of male).” Allah knew better what she delivered: “The male is not like the female, and I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge for her with You and her offspring from Satan, the rejected.” |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali When she was delivered, she said: "O my Lord! Behold! I am delivered of a female child!"- and Allah knew best what she brought forth- "And no wise is the male Like the female. I have named her Mary, and I commend her and her offspring to Thy protection from the Evil One, the Rejected |
