﴿يَٰبُنَيَّ أَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأۡمُرۡ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَٱنۡهَ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنكَرِ وَٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَآ أَصَابَكَۖ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ مِنۡ عَزۡمِ ٱلۡأُمُورِ ﴾
[لُقمَان: 17]
﴿يابني أقم الصلاة وأمر بالمعروف وانه عن المنكر واصبر على ما أصابك﴾ [لُقمَان: 17]
Abdel Haleem Keep up the prayer, my son; command what is right; forbid what is wrong; bear anything that happens to you steadfastly: these are things to be aspired to |
Abdul Hye O my son! Establish the prayer, enjoin good, forbid evil, and bear with patience whatever befalls you. Surely! These are some of the important commandments |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali O my son! establish regular prayer, enjoin what is just, and forbid what is wrong: and bear with patient constancy whatever betide thee; for this is firmness (of purpose) in (the conduct of) affairs |
