﴿وَلَا تُصَعِّرۡ خَدَّكَ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَمۡشِ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مَرَحًاۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخۡتَالٖ فَخُورٖ ﴾
[لُقمَان: 18]
﴿ولا تصعر خدك للناس ولا تمش في الأرض مرحا إن الله لا﴾ [لُقمَان: 18]
| Abdel Haleem Do not turn your nose up at people, nor walk about the place arrogantly, for God does not love arrogant or boastful people |
| Abdul Hye And don’t turn your face away (with pride) from people, nor walk in pride on the earth. Surely, Allah does not like any arrogant boaster |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali And swell not thy cheek (for pride) at men, nor walk in insolence through the earth; for Allah loveth not any arrogant boaster |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi And turn not away thy cheek from men nor walk on the earth stultingly, verily Allah loveth not any vainglorious boaster |
