﴿فَحَقَّ عَلَيۡنَا قَوۡلُ رَبِّنَآۖ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَ ﴾
[الصَّافَات: 31]
﴿فحق علينا قول ربنا إنا لذائقون﴾ [الصَّافَات: 31]
| Abdel Haleem Our Lord’s sentence on us is just and we must all taste the punishment |
| Abdul Hye now the Word of our Lord has become justified against us, and indeed we shall taste (the punishment) |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins) |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste |
| Ahmed Ali The sentence of our Lord has come true for us. We have certainly to taste (the punishment) |
