﴿وَقَالُواْ مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَىٰ رِجَالٗا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡأَشۡرَارِ ﴾
[صٓ: 62]
﴿وقالوا ما لنا لا نرى رجالا كنا نعدهم من الأشرار﴾ [صٓ: 62]
| Abdel Haleem They will say, ‘Why do we not see those we thought were bad |
| Abdul Hye They will say (to each other): “What is the matter with us that we don’t see those people whom we used to count among the bad ones |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi And they will Say: what aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the evil ones |
| Ahmed Ali And will add: "O what has happened to us that we do not see the men we counted among the wicked |
| Aisha Bewley They will say, ´How is it that we do not see some men whom we used to count among the worst of people |
| A. J. Arberry They say, 'How is it with us, that we do not see men here that we counted among the wicked |
| Ali Quli Qarai And they say, ‘What is the matter with us that we do not see [here] men whom we used to count among the bad ones |
