﴿فَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ ضُرّٞ دَعَانَا ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلۡنَٰهُ نِعۡمَةٗ مِّنَّا قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أُوتِيتُهُۥ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمِۭۚ بَلۡ هِيَ فِتۡنَةٞ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ ﴾
[الزُّمَر: 49]
﴿فإذا مس الإنسان ضر دعانا ثم إذا خولناه نعمة منا قال إنما﴾ [الزُّمَر: 49]
| Abdel Haleem When man suffers some affliction, he cries out to Us, but when We favour him with Our blessing, he says, ‘All this has been given to me because of my knowledge’- it is only a test, though most of them do not know it |
| Abdul Hye When harm touches people, they call to Us (for help), then when We grant them a Favor from Us, they say: “Only because we were given this knowledge.” Nay, it is only a trial, but most of them don’t know |
