﴿إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ يُنَادَوۡنَ لَمَقۡتُ ٱللَّهِ أَكۡبَرُ مِن مَّقۡتِكُمۡ أَنفُسَكُمۡ إِذۡ تُدۡعَوۡنَ إِلَى ٱلۡإِيمَٰنِ فَتَكۡفُرُونَ ﴾
[غَافِر: 10]
﴿إن الذين كفروا ينادون لمقت الله أكبر من مقتكم أنفسكم إذ تدعون﴾ [غَافِر: 10]
| Abdel Haleem But those who disbelieved will be told, ‘When you were called to the faith and rejected it, God’s disgust with you was even greater then than the self-disgust you feel [today].’ |
| Abdul Hye Truly those who disbelieve will be addressed (at the entry time to the fire): “Allah’s dislike towards you was greater (in the world when you used to reject the faith) than your dislike towards one another (now you are enemies to one another in the hellfire), when you were called to the faith but you used to refuse.” |
