[غَافِر: 43]
﴿لا جرم أنما تدعونني إليه ليس له دعوة في الدنيا ولا في﴾ [غَافِر: 43]
Abdel Haleem There is no doubt that what you call me to serve is not fit to be invoked either in this world or the Hereafter: our return is to God alone, and it will be the rebels who will inhabit the Fire |
Abdul Hye No doubt that you call me to worship it which can neither grant a claim (request) in this world nor in the Hereafter. Our return will be to Allah; and the polytheists will be the inmates of the fire |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali Without doubt ye do call me to one who is not fit to be called to, whether in this world, or in the Hereafter; our return will be to Allah; and the Transgressors will be Companions of the Fire |
Abdul Majid Daryabadi Without doubt ye only call me Unto that which is not to be invoked in the world nor in the Hereafter; and verily our return shall be Unto God, and the extravagant! they shall be fellows of the Fire |
Ahmed Ali What you are calling me to is surely not worth the calling in this world or in the next, because our returning is to God; and because the transgressors will be inmates of Hell |
Aisha Bewley There is no question that what you call me to has no foundation either in this world or the Next World, that our return is to Allah, and that the profligate will be Companions of the Fire |
A. J. Arberry No doubt that what you call me to has no call heard, in this world or in the world to come, that to God we return, and that the prodigal are the inhabitants of the Fire |
Ali Quli Qarai Undoubtedly, that to which you invite me has no invitation in the world nor in the Hereafter, and indeed our return will be to Allah, and indeed it is the profligates who will be inmates of the Fire |
