﴿إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُجَٰدِلُونَ فِيٓ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ بِغَيۡرِ سُلۡطَٰنٍ أَتَىٰهُمۡ إِن فِي صُدُورِهِمۡ إِلَّا كِبۡرٞ مَّا هُم بِبَٰلِغِيهِۚ فَٱسۡتَعِذۡ بِٱللَّهِۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡبَصِيرُ ﴾
[غَافِر: 56]
﴿إن الذين يجادلون في آيات الله بغير سلطان أتاهم إن في صدورهم﴾ [غَافِر: 56]
| Abdel Haleem As for those who, with no authority to do so, dispute God’s messages, there is nothing in their hearts but a thirst for a greatness they will never attain. Seek refuge in God, for He is the All Hearing, the All Seeing |
| Abdul Hye Surely, those who dispute about Allah’s Verses without any authority bestowed to them, there is nothing else in their hearts except arrogance. They will never have it (Prophethood which Allah has bestowed upon you). So seek refuge with Allah. Surely, He is the All-Hearer, All-Seer |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali Those who dispute about the signs of Allah without any authority bestowed on them,- there is nothing in their breasts but (the quest of) greatness, which they shall never attain to: seek refuge, then, in Allah: It is He Who hears and sees (all things) |
