﴿لَّا يَسۡـَٔمُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مِن دُعَآءِ ٱلۡخَيۡرِ وَإِن مَّسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ فَيَـُٔوسٞ قَنُوطٞ ﴾
[فُصِّلَت: 49]
﴿لا يسأم الإنسان من دعاء الخير وإن مسه الشر فيئوس قنوط﴾ [فُصِّلَت: 49]
Abdel Haleem Man never tires of asking for good, but if evil touches him he loses all hope and becomes despondent |
Abdul Hye People (disbelievers) don’t get tired of asking good (things from Allah), but if an evil touches them, they give up all hope and are lost in despair |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali Man does not weary of asking for good (things), but if ill touches him, he gives up all hope (and) is lost in despair |
Abdul Majid Daryabadi Man is not wearied of praying for worldly good, and if there tcucheth him an evil, he is despondent, despairing |
Ahmed Ali Man never tires of praying for good; but if evil assails him he begins to despair |
