﴿أَمِ ٱتَّخَذَ مِمَّا يَخۡلُقُ بَنَاتٖ وَأَصۡفَىٰكُم بِٱلۡبَنِينَ ﴾
[الزُّخرُف: 16]
﴿أم اتخذ مما يخلق بنات وأصفاكم بالبنين﴾ [الزُّخرُف: 16]
| Abdel Haleem Has He taken daughters for Himself and favoured you with sons |
| Abdul Hye Or has He taken daughters (pagan Arabs used to believe that angels were daughters of Allah) out of what He has created, and has He selected for you sons |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali What! has He taken daughters out of what He himself creates, and granted to you sons for choice |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi Hath He taken for Himself from whatsoever He hath created daughters, and hath honoured you with sons |
