﴿تَرَىٰ كَثِيرٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ يَتَوَلَّوۡنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْۚ لَبِئۡسَ مَا قَدَّمَتۡ لَهُمۡ أَنفُسُهُمۡ أَن سَخِطَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَفِي ٱلۡعَذَابِ هُمۡ خَٰلِدُونَ ﴾
[المَائدة: 80]
﴿ترى كثيرا منهم يتولون الذين كفروا لبئس ما قدمت لهم أنفسهم أن﴾ [المَائدة: 80]
Abdel Haleem You [Prophet] see many of them allying themselves with the disbelievers. How terrible is what their souls have stored up for them: God is angry with them and they will remain tormented |
Abdul Hye You see many of them; they make friends with those who disbelieved. Evil indeed is that they themselves have sent forth for them. For that reason, they have incurred the Wrath of Allah, and they will abide forever in punishment |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali Thou seest many of them turning in friendship to the Unbelievers. Evil indeed are (the works) which their souls have sent forward before them (with the result), that Allah's wrath is on them, and in torment will they abide |
Abdul Majid Daryabadi Thou wilt see many of them befriending those who disbelieve; vile surely is that which their souls have sent forth for them, so that Allah became incensed against them; and in torment they shall be abiders |
Ahmed Ali You can see among them many allying themselves with the infidels. Vile it was what they sent ahead of them, so that God's indignation came upon them; and torment will they suffer an eternity |
Aisha Bewley You see many of them taking those who are kafir as their friends. What their lower selves have advanced for them is evil indeed, bringing Allah´s anger down upon them. They will suffer punishment timelessly, for ever |
