﴿لِّئَلَّا يَعۡلَمَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ أَلَّا يَقۡدِرُونَ عَلَىٰ شَيۡءٖ مِّن فَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَنَّ ٱلۡفَضۡلَ بِيَدِ ٱللَّهِ يُؤۡتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلۡفَضۡلِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ ﴾
[الحدِيد: 29]
﴿لئلا يعلم أهل الكتاب ألا يقدرون على شيء من فضل الله وأن﴾ [الحدِيد: 29]
Abdel Haleem The People of the Book should know that they have no power over any of God’s grace and that grace is in the hand of God alone: He gives it to whoever He will. God’s grace is truly immense |
Abdul Hye (Adapt this way) so that the people of the Scripture may know that they don’t have power over anything from the Grace of Allah, and that the Grace is in His authority, bestows it on whomever He wills. And Allah is the Owner of great Bounty |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali That the People of the Book may know that they have no power whatever over the Grace of Allah, that (His) Grace is (entirely) in His Hand, to bestow it on whomsoever He wills. For Allah is the Lord of Grace abounding |
