﴿قُلۡ أَيُّ شَيۡءٍ أَكۡبَرُ شَهَٰدَةٗۖ قُلِ ٱللَّهُۖ شَهِيدُۢ بَيۡنِي وَبَيۡنَكُمۡۚ وَأُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ هَٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانُ لِأُنذِرَكُم بِهِۦ وَمَنۢ بَلَغَۚ أَئِنَّكُمۡ لَتَشۡهَدُونَ أَنَّ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةً أُخۡرَىٰۚ قُل لَّآ أَشۡهَدُۚ قُلۡ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَٰهٞ وَٰحِدٞ وَإِنَّنِي بَرِيٓءٞ مِّمَّا تُشۡرِكُونَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 19]
﴿قل أي شيء أكبر شهادة قل الله شهيد بيني وبينكم وأوحي إلي﴾ [الأنعَام: 19]
| Abdel Haleem Say, ‘What counts most as a witness?’ Say, ‘God is witness between you and me. This Quran was revealed for me to warn you [people] and everyone it reaches. Do you really bear witness that there are other gods beside God?’ Say, ‘I myself do not bear witness [to any such thing].’ Say, ‘He is only one God, and I disown whatever you join with Him.’ |
| Abdul Hye Say (O Muhammad): “What thing is greatest in evidence?” Say: “Allah is a witness between me and between you; and this Qur’an is revealed to me so that I may warn you with it and whoever it may reach. Do you surely bear witness that besides Allah there are others worthy of worship?” Say: “I don’t bear such a witness!” Say: “Allah is only the one worthy of worship. Indeed I am innocent of what you associate (with Allah).” |
