﴿فَلَمَّا رَءَا ٱلشَّمۡسَ بَازِغَةٗ قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّي هَٰذَآ أَكۡبَرُۖ فَلَمَّآ أَفَلَتۡ قَالَ يَٰقَوۡمِ إِنِّي بَرِيٓءٞ مِّمَّا تُشۡرِكُونَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 78]
﴿فلما رأى الشمس بازغة قال هذا ربي هذا أكبر فلما أفلت قال﴾ [الأنعَام: 78]
Abdel Haleem Then he saw the sun rising and cried, ‘This is my Lord! This is greater.’ But when the sun set, he said, ‘My people, I disown all that you worship beside God |
Abdul Hye When he saw the sun rising, he said: “This is my Lord. This is the largest.” But when it set, he said: “O my people! Surely I am free from what you associate (with Allah) |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali When he saw the sun rising in splendour, he said: "This is my Lord; this is the greatest (of all)." But when the sun set, he said: "O my people! I am indeed free from your (guilt) of giving partners to Allah |
