﴿يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلَوٰةِ مِن يَوۡمِ ٱلۡجُمُعَةِ فَٱسۡعَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَذَرُواْ ٱلۡبَيۡعَۚ ذَٰلِكُمۡ خَيۡرٞ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ ﴾
[الجُمعَة: 9]
﴿ياأيها الذين آمنوا إذا نودي للصلاة من يوم الجمعة فاسعوا إلى ذكر﴾ [الجُمعَة: 9]
| Abdel Haleem Believers! When the call to prayer is made on the day of congregation, hurry towards the reminder of God and leave off your trading––that is better for you, if only you knew–– |
| Abdul Hye O you who believe! When the call is proclaimed for the prayer on Friday, then hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave off business. That is better for you if you did but know |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali O ye who believe! When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday (the Day of Assembly), hasten earnestly to the Remembrance of Allah, and leave off business (and traffic): That is best for you if ye but knew |
