﴿لَّوۡلَآ أَن تَدَٰرَكَهُۥ نِعۡمَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ لَنُبِذَ بِٱلۡعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ مَذۡمُومٞ ﴾
[القَلَم: 49]
﴿لولا أن تداركه نعمة من ربه لنبذ بالعراء وهو مذموم﴾ [القَلَم: 49]
| Abdel Haleem if his Lord’s grace had not reached him, he would have been left, abandoned and blameworthy, on the barren shore |
| Abdul Hye Had not a Grace from his Lord reached him, he would indeed have been (left in the stomach of the fish, but We forgave him, so he was) cast off on the naked shore, while he was blamed |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali Had not Grace from his Lord reached him, he would indeed have been cast off on the naked shore, in disgrace |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi Had not grace from his Lord reached him, he had surely been cast into the wilderness in a plight |
| Ahmed Ali Had it not been for a favour from his Lord he would have been cast blame-worthy on a barren plain |
