﴿فَمَا كَانَ دَعۡوَىٰهُمۡ إِذۡ جَآءَهُم بَأۡسُنَآ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 5]
﴿فما كان دعواهم إذ جاءهم بأسنا إلا أن قالوا إنا كنا ظالمين﴾ [الأعرَاف: 5]
| Abdel Haleem their only cry when Our punishment came to them was, ‘How wrong we were!’ |
| Abdul Hye their plea was not uttered when Our punishment came to them but they said: “Surely, we were wrongdoers.” |
| Abdullah Yusuf Ali When (thus) Our punishment took them, no cry did they utter but this: "Indeed we did wrong |
| Abdul Majid Daryabadi Then naught was their cry a when Our violence came upon them save that they said: verily we have been the wrong-doers |
| Ahmed Ali And when Our punishment overtook them they had nothing to say except crying out: "We have indeed been sinners |
