﴿قُلۡ هَلۡ تَرَبَّصُونَ بِنَآ إِلَّآ إِحۡدَى ٱلۡحُسۡنَيَيۡنِۖ وَنَحۡنُ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمۡ أَن يُصِيبَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِعَذَابٖ مِّنۡ عِندِهِۦٓ أَوۡ بِأَيۡدِينَاۖ فَتَرَبَّصُوٓاْ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّتَرَبِّصُونَ ﴾
[التوبَة: 52]
﴿قل هل تربصون بنا إلا إحدى الحسنيين ونحن نتربص بكم أن يصيبكم﴾ [التوبَة: 52]
| Abdel Haleem Say, ‘Do you expect something other than one of the two best things to happen to us? Well, we expect God to inflict punishment on you, either from Himself or at our hands. So wait; we too are waiting.’ |
| Abdul Hye Say: “Do you expect for us anything except one of the 2 best things (martyrdom or victory)? But we are waiting for you either that Allah will afflict you with a punishment from Himself or at our hands. So wait, we too are waiting with you.” |
