﴿يَحۡلِفُونَ بِٱللَّهِ لَكُمۡ لِيُرۡضُوكُمۡ وَٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥٓ أَحَقُّ أَن يُرۡضُوهُ إِن كَانُواْ مُؤۡمِنِينَ ﴾
[التوبَة: 62]
﴿يحلفون بالله لكم ليرضوكم والله ورسوله أحق أن يرضوه إن كانوا مؤمنين﴾ [التوبَة: 62]
Abdel Haleem They swear by God in order to please you [believers]: if they were true believers it would be more fitting for them to please God and His Messenger |
Abdul Hye They swear by Allah to you in order to please you. But Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad) has more right, so they should please Allah if they are believers |
Abdullah Yusuf Ali To you they swear by Allah. In order to please you: But it is more fitting that they should please Allah and His Messenger, if they are Believers |
