﴿يَحۡلِفُونَ بِٱللَّهِ لَكُمۡ لِيُرۡضُوكُمۡ وَٱللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُۥٓ أَحَقُّ أَن يُرۡضُوهُ إِن كَانُواْ مُؤۡمِنِينَ ﴾
[التوبَة: 62]
﴿يحلفون بالله لكم ليرضوكم والله ورسوله أحق أن يرضوه إن كانوا مؤمنين﴾ [التوبَة: 62]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al To you they swear by God, in order to please you. But it is more fitting that they should please God and His messenger, if they are believers |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad They swear by God for you to please you, while God and His messenger are more deserving to be pleased, if they were believers |
Ali Quli Qarai They swear to you by Allah, to please you; but Allah and His Apostle are worthier that they should please Him, should they be faithful |
Ali Unal They swear to you by God (O believers) so that you may be pleased with them, while it is God and His Messenger whose pleasure they should seek, if indeed they are believers |
Hamid S Aziz They swear by Allah to please you (Muslims); but Allah and His Messenger are more worthy for them to please (or it is more fitting to please them or they have more right to it) if they be believers |
