﴿ٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ أَوۡ لَا تَسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ إِن تَسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمۡ سَبۡعِينَ مَرَّةٗ فَلَن يَغۡفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمۡۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَفَرُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يَهۡدِي ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ ﴾
[التوبَة: 80]
﴿استغفر لهم أو لا تستغفر لهم إن تستغفر لهم سبعين مرة فلن﴾ [التوبَة: 80]
| Abdel Haleem It makes no difference [Prophet] whether you ask forgiveness for them or not: God will not forgive them even if you ask seventy times, because they reject God and His Messenger. God does not guide those who rebel against Him |
| Abdul Hye Whether you (O Muhammad) ask forgiveness for them (hypocrites) or not ask forgiveness for them, even if you ask forgiveness for them 70 times, Allah will never forgive them because they have disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad). And Allah does not guide those people who are disobedient |
