﴿وَمَا تَكُونُ فِي شَأۡنٖ وَمَا تَتۡلُواْ مِنۡهُ مِن قُرۡءَانٖ وَلَا تَعۡمَلُونَ مِنۡ عَمَلٍ إِلَّا كُنَّا عَلَيۡكُمۡ شُهُودًا إِذۡ تُفِيضُونَ فِيهِۚ وَمَا يَعۡزُبُ عَن رَّبِّكَ مِن مِّثۡقَالِ ذَرَّةٖ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا فِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَلَآ أَصۡغَرَ مِن ذَٰلِكَ وَلَآ أَكۡبَرَ إِلَّا فِي كِتَٰبٖ مُّبِينٍ ﴾
[يُونس: 61]
﴿وما تكون في شأن وما تتلو منه من قرآن ولا تعملون من﴾ [يُونس: 61]
| Dr Kamal Omar In whatever involvement you may be and whatever you may recite thereof from Qur’an — and you do not produce any action but We are over you as Witnesses when you people are involved in it. And nothing hides (itself) from your Nourisher-Sustainer (not) even the weight of a particle on the earth and nor in the heaven — and nor smaller than this and nor larger — but (it is recorded) in a manifest record |

And nothing escapes from thy Lord of the weight of an atom in or on the earth nor in the heaven nor what is smaller than that nor what is greater than that but it is in a clear Book |

Nor is so much as the weight of an ant hidden from thy Lord, in earth or in heaven: Neither is there any thing lesser than that, or greater, but it is written in the perspicuous book |
| Maududi (O Prophet!) Whatever you may be engaged in, whether you recite any portion of the Qur`an, or whatever else all of you are doing, We are witnesses to whatever you may be occupied with. Not even an atom`s weight escapes your Lord on the earth or in the heaven, nor is there anything smaller or bigger than that, except that it is on record in a Clear Book |
