﴿وَلَئِنۡ أَذَقۡنَٰهُ نَعۡمَآءَ بَعۡدَ ضَرَّآءَ مَسَّتۡهُ لَيَقُولَنَّ ذَهَبَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتُ عَنِّيٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَفَرِحٞ فَخُورٌ ﴾
[هُود: 10]
﴿ولئن أذقناه نعماء بعد ضراء مسته ليقولن ذهب السيئات عني إنه لفرح﴾ [هُود: 10]
| Dr Kamal Omar And certainly, if We made him taste bounties after helplessness (in poverty and/or illness that) has touched him, he is sure to say: “The ills have departed from me.” Surely, he is indeed jubilant (and) boastful |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And if We caused him to experience favor after tribulation afflicted him, he is certain to say: Evil deeds went from me! Truly, he becomes glad, boastful |
| Dr Munir Munshey On the other hand when, after a period of hardship, We let him taste Our blessings, he says, "The bad times are finally over" and he starts to boast |
