﴿وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَوۡلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيۡهِ ءَايَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦۚ قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُضِلُّ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهۡدِيٓ إِلَيۡهِ مَنۡ أَنَابَ ﴾
[الرَّعد: 27]
﴿ويقول الذين كفروا لولا أنـزل عليه آية من ربه قل إن الله﴾ [الرَّعد: 27]
Dr Kamal Omar And those who have disbelieved say: “Why has not a sign been sent down to him from his Nourisher-Sustainer?” Say: “Verily, Allah sends astray whom He thinks proper, and guides unto Himself who turned (to Him in repentance).” |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And those who were ungrateful say: Why was a sign not caused to descend to him from his Lord? Say: Truly, God causes to go astray whom He wills and guides to Himself whomever was penitent |
Dr Munir Munshey The unbelievers say, "Why did his Lord not send down a sign with him?" Say, "Allah leads astray whomever He wants, and He guides those who heed |

George Sale The infidels say, unless a sign be sent down unto him from his Lord, we will not believe. Answer, verily God will lead into error whom He pleaseth, and will direct unto Himself him who repenteth |
Maududi Those who have rejected (the message of Muhammad) say: "Why has no sign been sent down upon him from his Lord?" Tell them: "Allah lets go astray those whom He wills, and guides to Himself those who turn to Him |
