﴿مُهۡطِعِينَ مُقۡنِعِي رُءُوسِهِمۡ لَا يَرۡتَدُّ إِلَيۡهِمۡ طَرۡفُهُمۡۖ وَأَفۡـِٔدَتُهُمۡ هَوَآءٞ ﴾
[إبراهِيم: 43]
﴿مهطعين مقنعي رءوسهم لا يرتد إليهم طرفهم وأفئدتهم هواء﴾ [إبراهِيم: 43]
Dr Kamal Omar They will be those who run (out of fear and confusion), (those) who raise their heads, the outer edge of their eyes will not turn towards them (i.e., the eyes will remain wide-open and would avoid blinhead of state) and their hearts (and minds, utterly) void (due to extreme fear, completely unable to think or concentrate) |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar ones who run forward with eyes fixed in horror, ones who lift up their heads. Their glance goes not back to them. And their minds are void |
