﴿۞ وَقَالَ ٱللَّهُ لَا تَتَّخِذُوٓاْ إِلَٰهَيۡنِ ٱثۡنَيۡنِۖ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَٰهٞ وَٰحِدٞ فَإِيَّٰيَ فَٱرۡهَبُونِ ﴾
[النَّحل: 51]
﴿وقال الله لا تتخذوا إلهين اثنين إنما هو إله واحد فإياي فارهبون﴾ [النَّحل: 51]
| Dr Kamal Omar And Allah directed: “Adopt not ilahain (two gods), ithnain (two in numbers)." Certainly, what (is true is that) He is the only One Ilah (God), so only Me (you accept as God). So be conscious of Me with a feeling of fear (out of love and attachment) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And God said: Take not two gods to yourselves. Truly, He is One God. Then, have reverence for Me |
| Dr Munir Munshey And Allah proclaimed, "Do not accept two gods! Indeed, He is the only One God! So fear Me alone |
| Edward Henry Palmer And God says, 'Take not to two gods; God is only one; me then do ye fear |
| Farook Malik Allah has commanded: "You shall not worship two gods: there exists only One God, I am the One Whom you should fear |
| George Sale God said, take not unto yourselves two gods; for there is but one God: And revere Me |
| Maududi Allah has commanded: "Do not take two gods; for He is but One God. So fear Me alone |
