﴿كَذَٰلِكَ نَقُصُّ عَلَيۡكَ مِنۡ أَنۢبَآءِ مَا قَدۡ سَبَقَۚ وَقَدۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰكَ مِن لَّدُنَّا ذِكۡرٗا ﴾
[طه: 99]
﴿كذلك نقص عليك من أنباء ما قد سبق وقد آتيناك من لدنا﴾ [طه: 99]
| Dr Kamal Omar Thus We relate to you out of the news what definitely happened before. And indeed We have given you from Uz-Zikr (‘The Message’) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Thus We relate to thee some tiding of what preceded. And surely We gave thee from that which proceeds from Our Presence a Remembrance |
| Dr Munir Munshey Thus, We narrate to you the tales of what went on earlier. We have granted you this (book of) advisement from Ourselves |
| Edward Henry Palmer Thus do we narrate to thee the history of what has gone before, and we have brought thee a reminder from us |
| Farook Malik Thus do We relate to you, O Muhammad, some information of the past events; and indeed We have sent you this Reminder (The Qur’an) from Our Own Self |
| George Sale Thus do we recite unto thee, O Mohammed, relations of what hath passed heretofore; and we have given thee an admonition from us |
| Maududi (O Muhammad), thus do We recount to you the events of the past, and We have bestowed upon you from Ourself an admonition |
