﴿حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَخَذۡنَا مُتۡرَفِيهِم بِٱلۡعَذَابِ إِذَا هُمۡ يَجۡـَٔرُونَ ﴾
[المؤمنُون: 64]
﴿حتى إذا أخذنا مترفيهم بالعذاب إذا هم يجأرون﴾ [المؤمنُون: 64]
| Dr Kamal Omar Until, when We seized in punishment those of them who led a luxurious life, behold! They invoke (Allah) in the form of a loud cry |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar until, when We took ones who are given ease with the punishment. That is when they make entreaties |
| Dr Munir Munshey Until We grabbed their well-to-do (those living in luxury) with punishment. Then suddenly, they began to plead and entreat earnestly |
| Edward Henry Palmer Until we catch the affluent ones amongst them with the torment; then lo! they cry for aid |
| Farook Malik until when We seize those of them who live in comfort with punishment; lo! Then they start crying for help in supplication |
| George Sale when We chastise such of them as enjoy an affluence of fortune, by a severe punishment, behold, they cry aloud for help |
| Maududi until We seize with Our chastisement those of them that are given to luxuriant ways. They will then begin to groan |
