﴿وَلَئِن سَأَلۡتَهُم مَّنۡ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمۡسَ وَٱلۡقَمَرَ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُۖ فَأَنَّىٰ يُؤۡفَكُونَ ﴾
[العَنكبُوت: 61]
﴿ولئن سألتهم من خلق السموات والأرض وسخر الشمس والقمر ليقولن الله فأنى﴾ [العَنكبُوت: 61]
Dr Kamal Omar And surely, if you asked them who created the heavens and the earth, and controlled and regulated the sun and the moon, they will surely say: “Allah.” Then how they indulge in forgery and falsehood |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And if thou hadst asked them: Who created the heavens and the earth and caused the sun and the moon to be subservient? They will, certainly, say: God. Then, how they are misled |

George Sale Verily, if thou ask the Meccans, who hath created the heavens and the earth, and hath obliged the sun and the moon to serve in their courses; they will answer, God. How therefore do they lie, in acknowledging of other gods |
Maududi If you were to ask them: "Who created the heavens and the earth and Who has kept the sun and the moon in subjection?" they will certainly say: "Allah." How come, then, they are being deluded from the Truth |
