﴿وَإِنَّ مِنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لَمَن يُؤۡمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡكُمۡ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيۡهِمۡ خَٰشِعِينَ لِلَّهِ لَا يَشۡتَرُونَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ثَمَنٗا قَلِيلًاۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرُهُمۡ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ ﴾
[آل عِمران: 199]
﴿وإن من أهل الكتاب لمن يؤمن بالله وما أنـزل إليكم وما أنـزل﴾ [آل عِمران: 199]
Dr Kamal Omar And certainly, among the people of Al-Kitab is that who Believes in Allah and ‘what has been delivered towards you and what is delivered towards them ’, having full regard of submission to Allah. They do not purchase at the cost of Ayaat of Allah a meagre sum. Those people: for them, their reward is with their Nourisher-Sustainer. Surely, Allah is swift in accountability |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And, truly, among the People of the Book are those who believe in God and what was caused to descend to you and what was caused to descend to them, ones who are humble toward God. They exchange not the signs of God for a little price. Those, for them, their compensation is with their Lord. And, truly, God is Swift in reckoning |
Dr Munir Munshey There are certainly some among the people of the book who believe in Allah, and in that which is revealed to you, as well as that which was revealed to them (earlier). George Sale There are some of those who have received the scriptures, who believe in God, and that which hath been sent down unto you, and that which hath been sent down to them, submitting themselves unto God; they sell not the signs of God for a small price: These shall have their reward with their Lord; for God is swift in taking an account |
Maududi And among the People of the Book some believe in Allah and what has been revealed to you, and what has been revealed to them. They humble themselves before Allah, and do not sell Allah´s revelations for a small price. For these men their reward is with their Lord. Allah is swift in His reckoning |
