﴿وَإِذۡ قَالَ لُقۡمَٰنُ لِٱبۡنِهِۦ وَهُوَ يَعِظُهُۥ يَٰبُنَيَّ لَا تُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِۖ إِنَّ ٱلشِّرۡكَ لَظُلۡمٌ عَظِيمٞ ﴾
[لُقمَان: 13]
﴿وإذ قال لقمان لابنه وهو يعظه يابني لا تشرك بالله إن الشرك﴾ [لُقمَان: 13]
Dr Kamal Omar And when Luqman spoke for his son, and he: he is advising him, “O my son! Do not join partners with Allah; verily, polytheism is certainly (the) biggest injustice.” |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And when Luqman said to his son as he admonishes him: O my son! Ascribe not partners with God. Truly, association with God is, certainly, a tremendous injustice |
Dr Munir Munshey (Remember) Luqman said to his son by way of advice, "Oh my son, do not associate partners with Allah. Indeed, such an act _ ´shirk´ _ is the greatest injustice |

Maududi And call to mind when Luqman said to his son while exhorting him: "My son, do not associate others with Allah in His Divinity. Surely, associating others with Allah in His Divinity is a mighty wrong |
