Quran with Tafsir_English translation - Surah Saba’ ayat 37 - سَبإ - Page - Juz 22
﴿وَمَآ أَمۡوَٰلُكُمۡ وَلَآ أَوۡلَٰدُكُم بِٱلَّتِي تُقَرِّبُكُمۡ عِندَنَا زُلۡفَىٰٓ إِلَّا مَنۡ ءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحٗا فَأُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ جَزَآءُ ٱلضِّعۡفِ بِمَا عَمِلُواْ وَهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡغُرُفَٰتِ ءَامِنُونَ ﴾
[سَبإ: 37]
﴿وما أموالكم ولا أولادكم بالتي تقربكم عندنا زلفى إلا من آمن وعمل﴾ [سَبإ: 37]
| Dr Kamal Omar And (it is) not your wealth, and nor your children that bring you nearer to Us in closeness except (the personal performance of) that who Believed and did righteous deeds; so those people: for them is an enlarged and expanded reward because of what they did, and they will be those who are secure in the suites (of Paradise) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And it is not your wealth nor your children that will bring you near to Us, but whoever believed and did as one in accord with morality. As for those, for them, the recompense is doubled for what they did and they will live in the highest chambers as one who is safe |
| Dr Munir Munshey It is not your wealth or your children that confers upon you a status of honor with Us. Rather, those who believe and perform good deeds are closer to Allah. They shall have twice the reward for their deeds and they shall live in peace in the lofty mansions (of paradise) |
| Edward Henry Palmer but neither your wealth nor your children is that which will bring you to a near approach to us, save him who believes and does right; these, for them is a double reward for what they have done, and they in upper rooms shall be secure |
| Farook Malik It is neither your wealth nor your children which bring you closer to Us even one jot, but those who believe and do good deeds; for them, there will be a double reward for their deeds and in high mansions shall they live in peace |
| George Sale Neither your riches nor your children are the things which shall cause you to draw nigh unto us with a near approach: Only whoever believeth, and worketh righteousness, they shall receive a double reward for that which they shall have wrought; and they shall dwell in security, in the upper apartments of paradise |
| Maududi It is not your riches nor your children that make you near-stationed to Us, except for him who has faith and acts righteously; it is they who will receive double the recompense for their deeds. They shall live in lofty mansions in perfect peace |
