﴿قَالُواْ سُبۡحَٰنَكَ أَنتَ وَلِيُّنَا مِن دُونِهِمۖ بَلۡ كَانُواْ يَعۡبُدُونَ ٱلۡجِنَّۖ أَكۡثَرُهُم بِهِم مُّؤۡمِنُونَ ﴾
[سَبإ: 41]
﴿قالوا سبحانك أنت ولينا من دونهم بل كانوا يعبدون الجن أكثرهم بهم﴾ [سَبإ: 41]
| Dr Kamal Omar They (angels) said: “Glory be to You! You (Alone) are our Wali instead of them. Nay, they used to worship the jinns; most of them had been believers in them.” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar They would say: Glory be to Thee! Thou art our Protector and not they. Nay! They had been worshiping the jinn. Most of them were ones who believe in them |
