﴿ٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَٱذۡكُرۡ عَبۡدَنَا دَاوُۥدَ ذَا ٱلۡأَيۡدِۖ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَوَّابٌ ﴾
[صٓ: 17]
﴿اصبر على ما يقولون واذكر عبدنا داود ذا الأيد إنه أواب﴾ [صٓ: 17]
| Dr Kamal Omar Bear patiently what they say, and bring to mind Our abd Daud, (man) of a (strong) hand (i.e., a very powerful person). Surely he was ever-returning (to Allah — even when he committed a minor error) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Have patience with what they say, and remember Our servant David, the possessor of potency. Truly, he was penitent |
| Dr Munir Munshey Bear everything they say patiently (oh prophet), and remember Our servant Da´ood, the one with strength. He constantly turned to Allah (for guidance) |
| Edward Henry Palmer Be patient of what they say, and remember our servant David endowed with might; verily, he turned frequently to us |
