﴿وَرَفَعۡنَا فَوۡقَهُمُ ٱلطُّورَ بِمِيثَٰقِهِمۡ وَقُلۡنَا لَهُمُ ٱدۡخُلُواْ ٱلۡبَابَ سُجَّدٗا وَقُلۡنَا لَهُمۡ لَا تَعۡدُواْ فِي ٱلسَّبۡتِ وَأَخَذۡنَا مِنۡهُم مِّيثَٰقًا غَلِيظٗا ﴾
[النِّسَاء: 154]
﴿ورفعنا فوقهم الطور بميثاقهم وقلنا لهم ادخلوا الباب سجدا وقلنا لهم لا﴾ [النِّسَاء: 154]
| Dr Kamal Omar And We slided over them (a rock of) the mount as an evidence of their covenant and (on another occasion) We said to them: “Enter the gate in humility.” And (on another occasion) We said to them: “Transgress not in (the matter of) As-sabt." And We had taken from them a firm covenant |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And We exalted the mount above them for their solemn promise. And We said to them: Enter the door as ones who prostrate themselves. And We said to them: Disregard not the Sabbath! And We took from them an earnest solemn promise |
