﴿وَٱللَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَن يَتُوبَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَيُرِيدُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَّبِعُونَ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ أَن تَمِيلُواْ مَيۡلًا عَظِيمٗا ﴾
[النِّسَاء: 27]
﴿والله يريد أن يتوب عليكم ويريد الذين يتبعون الشهوات أن تميلوا ميلا﴾ [النِّسَاء: 27]
| Dr Kamal Omar And Allah intends that He may turn to you people (in Mercy and Forgiveness). And desire those who follow (their) lusts that you (Believers) may deviate (to a) deviation — extreme and tremendous in degree |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar God wants that He turn to you in forgiveness while those who follow their lusts want that you turn against God in a serious deviation |
| Dr Munir Munshey Allah wants to turn towards you with (His) mercy, while those who have surrendered to their lusts want you to slide down the slippery slope (of sin) |
| Edward Henry Palmer God wishes to turn towards you, but those who follow their lusts wish that ye should swerve with a mighty swerving |
| Farook Malik Allah wishes to forgive you, but those who follow their lusts wish to see you deviate far away from the Right Way |
| George Sale God desireth to be gracious unto you; but they who follow their lusts, desire that ye should turn aside from the truth with great deviation |
| Maududi And Allah indeed wants to turn graciously towards you; but those who follow their lusts would want you to drift far away from the right way |
