﴿وَمَا لَكُمۡ لَا تُقَٰتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡمُسۡتَضۡعَفِينَ مِنَ ٱلرِّجَالِ وَٱلنِّسَآءِ وَٱلۡوِلۡدَٰنِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ أَخۡرِجۡنَا مِنۡ هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ ٱلظَّالِمِ أَهۡلُهَا وَٱجۡعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيّٗا وَٱجۡعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ نَصِيرًا ﴾
[النِّسَاء: 75]
﴿وما لكم لا تقاتلون في سبيل الله والمستضعفين من الرجال والنساء والولدان﴾ [النِّسَاء: 75]
| Dr Kamal Omar And what is (wrong) with you that you fight not in the Way of Allah and (to protect) those who are persecuted from amongst the men and women and children — the people who cry: “Our Nourisher-Sustainer! Rescue us from this city whose people (are) oppressors; and appoint for us from Your presence a wali and appoint for us from Your presence a naseer |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And why should you not fight in the way of God and for the ones taken advantage of due to weakness among the men and the women and the children, those who say: Our Lord! Bring us out from this town whose people are the ones who are unjust and assign for us a protector from Thy Presence and assign for us a helper from Thy Presence |
| Dr Munir Munshey What is wrong with you? Why would you not fight for the sake of Allah on behalf of the weak and oppressed men, women and children? Those who pray (to Allah), "Our Lord! Rescue us from this town; its residents are cruel. Raise, by Your grace, an ally for us. Grant us by Your will a helper |
