﴿وَلۡيَخۡشَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَوۡ تَرَكُواْ مِنۡ خَلۡفِهِمۡ ذُرِّيَّةٗ ضِعَٰفًا خَافُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡ فَلۡيَتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَلۡيَقُولُواْ قَوۡلٗا سَدِيدًا ﴾
[النِّسَاء: 9]
﴿وليخش الذين لو تركوا من خلفهم ذرية ضعافا خافوا عليهم فليتقوا الله﴾ [النِّسَاء: 9]
Dr Kamal Omar And people should realise: had they left behind them weak offspring they must have felt anxious about them. So they must obey Allah and they should utter statement, soft and tender |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And let executors dread like those who, if they left behind weak offspring, would fear for them. Then, let them be Godfearing of God and let them say appropriate sayings |
Dr Munir Munshey The executors (of the estate) should realize that if they were leaving frail young children behind (in this world) they would have grave concerns about them. So, they should fear Allah and say polite and proper words to the orphans |

Maududi And let them fear, those who, if they would themselves leave behind helpless offspring, they would surely have been fearful on their account. Let them, then, fear Allah and make the right statement |
