﴿فَٱصۡبِرۡ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقّٞ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لِذَنۢبِكَ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ بِٱلۡعَشِيِّ وَٱلۡإِبۡكَٰرِ ﴾
[غَافِر: 55]
﴿فاصبر إن وعد الله حق واستغفر لذنبك وسبح بحمد ربك بالعشي والإبكار﴾ [غَافِر: 55]
| Dr Kamal Omar So show patience. Surely, Allah’s promise is truth; and invoke forgiveness for your wrong-doing, and praise (Allah) with the Praise of your Nourisher-Sustainer by the Ashi (from late afternoon till sunset) and by the Ibkar (early dawn till sunrise). [This refers to the Asr and Fajr Prayers] |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar So have thou patience. Truly, the promise of God is true. And ask for forgiveness for thy impiety. And glorify thy Lord with praise in the evening and the early morning |
