﴿وَمَا كُنتُمۡ تَسۡتَتِرُونَ أَن يَشۡهَدَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ سَمۡعُكُمۡ وَلَآ أَبۡصَٰرُكُمۡ وَلَا جُلُودُكُمۡ وَلَٰكِن ظَنَنتُمۡ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَعۡلَمُ كَثِيرٗا مِّمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ ﴾
[فُصِّلَت: 22]
﴿وما كنتم تستترون أن يشهد عليكم سمعكم ولا أبصاركم ولا جلودكم ولكن﴾ [فُصِّلَت: 22]
Dr Kamal Omar And you had not been hiding that your hearing (i.e., the ears) may give evidence against you, and nor your eyes and nor your skins. But you thought that Allah does not know much of what you do |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And you had not been covering yourselves so that witness be borne against you by your having the ability to hear or by your sight or by your skins but that you thought that God knows not much of what you do |
