﴿مَّنۡ عَمِلَ صَٰلِحٗا فَلِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَنۡ أَسَآءَ فَعَلَيۡهَاۗ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِظَلَّٰمٖ لِّلۡعَبِيدِ ﴾
[فُصِّلَت: 46]
﴿من عمل صالحا فلنفسه ومن أساء فعليها وما ربك بظلام للعبيد﴾ [فُصِّلَت: 46]
Dr Kamal Omar Whosoever did righteous deed (it is) for (the benefit of) his ownself; and whosoever did evil, so it is against her (i.e., against his own Nafs or self). And your Nourisher-Sustainer is not (at all) unjust to (His) Abeed |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Whoever did as one in accord with morality, it is for himself. And whoever did evil, it is against himself, and thy Lord is not unjust to His servants |
Dr Munir Munshey Whoever acts righteously does so for his own sake, and whoever commits evil does himself a bad deed. Your Lord is not unjust to His servants |
Edward Henry Palmer Whoso does right it is for his soul, and whoso does evil it is against it, for thy Lord is not unjust towards His servants |
Farook Malik He who does good deeds, does it for his own soul; and he who commits evil does so at his own peril: Your Lord is never unjust to His servants |
George Sale He who doth right, doth it to the advantage of his own soul; and he who doth evil, doth it against the same: For thy Lord is not unjust towards his servants |
Maududi Whoever does good, does so to his own benefit; and whoever does evil, will suffer its evil consequence. Your Lord does no wrong to His servants |
