﴿وَإِذَآ أَنۡعَمۡنَا عَلَى ٱلۡإِنسَٰنِ أَعۡرَضَ وَنَـَٔا بِجَانِبِهِۦ وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ فَذُو دُعَآءٍ عَرِيضٖ ﴾
[فُصِّلَت: 51]
﴿وإذا أنعمنا على الإنسان أعرض ونأى بجانبه وإذا مسه الشر فذو دعاء﴾ [فُصِّلَت: 51]
Dr Kamal Omar And when We favoured a human being, he deviated, and he bowed to his own inclination. And when an adversity inflicted him, then instantly (he is one) involved in long supplications |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And when We were gracious to the human being, he turned aside, withdrew aside. But when the worst afflicted him, then, he is full of supplication |
Dr Munir Munshey When We bestow Our favors upon man, he drifts afar and distances himself (from Us); but when hardship afflicts, he prays (and pleads) long and hard |
