﴿قُلۡ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ بَشَرٞ مِّثۡلُكُمۡ يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيَّ أَنَّمَآ إِلَٰهُكُمۡ إِلَٰهٞ وَٰحِدٞ فَٱسۡتَقِيمُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرُوهُۗ وَوَيۡلٞ لِّلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ ﴾
[فُصِّلَت: 6]
﴿قل إنما أنا بشر مثلكم يوحى إلي أنما إلهكم إله واحد فاستقيموا﴾ [فُصِّلَت: 6]
| Dr Kamal Omar Say: “Certainly, what (is a fact is that) I am a human like you. It is inspired in me that what (is true is that) your Ilah (God) is One Ilah. So be steadfast to Him and invoke Him for forgiveness. And woe to Al-Mushrikun — |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Say: I am only a mortal like you. It is revealed to me that your God is God, One; so go straight to Him and ask for forgiveness from Him, and woe to the ones who are polytheists—those who give not the purifying alms |
| Dr Munir Munshey Say, "In fact, I am a human being like you. It has been revealed to me that your god is only One God! So, seek the path (that leads) straight to Him, and seek His forgiveness. Misery is for those who associate partners (with Allah) |
| Edward Henry Palmer Say, 'I am but a mortal like yourselves, I am inspired that your God is one God; then go straight to Him, and ask forgiveness of Him; and woe to the idolaters |
| Farook Malik O Prophet say: "I am but a man like yourselves. It is revealed to me that your God is One God, therefore take the Right Way towards Him and implore His forgiveness. Woe to the pagans (those who associate other gods with Allah) |
| George Sale Say, verily I am only a man like you. It is revealed unto me that your God is one God: Wherefore direct your way strait unto Him; and ask pardon of Him for what is past. And woe be to the idolaters |
| Maududi Tell them, (O Prophet): "I am only a human being like you. It is revealed to me that your God is One God; so direct yourselves straight to Him, and seek His forgiveness. Woe to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity |
