﴿وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓاْ أَفَلَمۡ تَكُنۡ ءَايَٰتِي تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡكُمۡ فَٱسۡتَكۡبَرۡتُمۡ وَكُنتُمۡ قَوۡمٗا مُّجۡرِمِينَ ﴾
[الجاثِية: 31]
﴿وأما الذين كفروا أفلم تكن آياتي تتلى عليكم فاستكبرتم وكنتم قوما مجرمين﴾ [الجاثِية: 31]
| Dr Kamal Omar And as for those who disbelieved (it will be said to them): “Were not then Ayaati (Our Verses) recited unto you? So you people behaved in arrogance; and you had been a nation of transgressors |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar But as for those who were ungrateful: Be not My signs recounted to you? Then, you grew arrogant and you had been a folk, ones who sin |
| Dr Munir Munshey To the unbelievers (Allah will say), "Is it not a fact, that My verses had been read to you? But you were arrogant and disdainful! You are the criminal nation |
| Edward Henry Palmer And as for those who misbelieve,- were not my signs recited to you and ye were too big with pride and ye were a sinful people |
| Farook Malik But as to those who disbelieved, Allah will say: "Were My revelations not recited to you? But you showed arrogance and became a people of criminals |
| George Sale But as to the infidels, it shall be said unto them, Were not my signs rehearsed unto you? But ye proudly rejected them, and became a wicked people |
| Maududi But those who denied the Truth, they shall be told: "Were My Signs not rehearsed to you? But you waxed proud and became a guilty people |
