﴿يَسۡمَعُ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِ ثُمَّ يُصِرُّ مُسۡتَكۡبِرٗا كَأَن لَّمۡ يَسۡمَعۡهَاۖ فَبَشِّرۡهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٖ ﴾
[الجاثِية: 8]

A vesture of wickedness that makes him counsel deaf to Allah's revelations when they are recited, declaring to him what is in conformity with truth and in agreement with reality. He intentionally closes his heart's ears and exercises inordinate self-esteem as though he lacked his sense of hearing. Tell him O Muhammad to expect a condign punishment

ترجمة: يسمع آيات الله تتلى عليه ثم يصر مستكبرا كأن لم يسمعها فبشره, باللغة الإنجليزية تفسير

﴿يسمع آيات الله تتلى عليه ثم يصر مستكبرا كأن لم يسمعها فبشره﴾ [الجاثِية: 8]

He hears Verses of Allah which are reproduced unto him; even then he insists (on man-written books) as a disobedient, arrogant person — as if he heard it not. So pronounce to him a painful torment
