﴿وَإِذَا جَآءُوكُمۡ قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا وَقَد دَّخَلُواْ بِٱلۡكُفۡرِ وَهُمۡ قَدۡ خَرَجُواْ بِهِۦۚ وَٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡتُمُونَ ﴾
[المَائدة: 61]
﴿وإذا جاءوكم قالوا آمنا وقد دخلوا بالكفر وهم قد خرجوا به والله﴾ [المَائدة: 61]
Dr Kamal Omar And when they approached you they said: “We have Believed.” And in fact they entered with disbelief, and they, definitely they went out harbouring this (disbelief). And Allah knows better of what they had been hiding |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And when they drew near you they said: We believed. And, surely, they entered with ingratitude and they, surely, went forth with it. And God is greater in knowledge of what they had been keeping back |
