﴿وَتَرَىٰ كَثِيرٗا مِّنۡهُمۡ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِي ٱلۡإِثۡمِ وَٱلۡعُدۡوَٰنِ وَأَكۡلِهِمُ ٱلسُّحۡتَۚ لَبِئۡسَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ ﴾
[المَائدة: 62]
﴿وترى كثيرا منهم يسارعون في الإثم والعدوان وأكلهم السحت لبئس ما كانوا﴾ [المَائدة: 62]
| Dr Kamal Omar And you see a vast majority of them are very swift in sin and transgression and their eating As-Suht. Indeed, evil (it is) what they had been doing |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And thou hast seen many of them competing with one another in sin and deep seated dislike and in consuming the wrongful. What they had been doing was miserable |
| Dr Munir Munshey You see most of them hurrying (happily and eagerly) towards sin and transgression. They consume forbidden (food and illegitimate) gains. Despicable indeed is what they have been doing |
