﴿۞ أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ تَوَلَّوۡاْ قَوۡمًا غَضِبَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡهِم مَّا هُم مِّنكُمۡ وَلَا مِنۡهُمۡ وَيَحۡلِفُونَ عَلَى ٱلۡكَذِبِ وَهُمۡ يَعۡلَمُونَ ﴾
[المُجَادلة: 14]
﴿ألم تر إلى الذين تولوا قوما غضب الله عليهم ما هم منكم﴾ [المُجَادلة: 14]
| Dr Kamal Omar Have you not seen towards those who took as friends a nation upon whom Allah has set His wrath? They are not of you and nor of them and they take oath on something which is false and untrue, while they know (the correct situation) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Hast thou considered those who turned in friendship to a folk against whom God was angry? They are not of you, nor are you of them and they swear to a lie while they know |
| Dr Munir Munshey Do you not see the hypocrites? They befriend the nation that has invoked the wrath of Allah. They _ (such hypocrites) _ neither belong to you nor to others (your enemies). They knowingly swear to their falsehood |

| Maududi Do you not see those who took for friends a people whom Allah is wroth with? They neither belong to you nor you to them. They swear to a falsehood, and they do so knowingly |
