﴿قُل لِّمَن مَّا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ قُل لِّلَّهِۚ كَتَبَ عَلَىٰ نَفۡسِهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَةَۚ لَيَجۡمَعَنَّكُمۡ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ لَا رَيۡبَ فِيهِۚ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓاْ أَنفُسَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 12]
﴿قل لمن ما في السموات والأرض قل لله كتب على نفسه الرحمة﴾ [الأنعَام: 12]
| Dr Kamal Omar Say: “For whom is what is in the heavens and the earth?” Say: “For Allah. He has (Himself) ordained upon His self (to shower) Mercy (on His Ibad). Indeed He will gather you together towards the Day of Resurrection. (There is) no doubt in this”. Those who have damaged their selves, so they shall not Believe |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Say: To whom is whatever is in the heavens and the earth? Say: To God. He prescribed mercy for Himself. He will, certainly, gather you on the Day of Resurrection. There is no doubt in it. Those who lost themselves that Day, then, they will not believe |
| Dr Munir Munshey Ask them, "To whom belongs everything in the heavens and on earth?" Say, "To Allah!" He has mandated mercy upon Himself. He would most certainly (bring you back to life and) gather all of you together on the day of Resurrection. There is no doubt about it! Those who have incurred a severe loss, and have ruined themselves, are the ones who refuse to believe |

| Maududi Ask thern: ´To whom belongs all that is in the heavens and on the earth?´ Say: ´Everything belongs to Allah.´ He has bound Himself to the exercise of mercy (and thus does not chastise you for your disobedience and excesses instantly). Surely He will gather you all together on the Day of Resurrection - the coming of which is beyond doubt; but those who have courted their own ruin are not going to believe |
